Milton can be used around the home to clean and kill germs.
Wipe bins inside and out with a Milton solution after emptying, to keep them germ and odour-free.
Immerse cloths for 15 minutes in a Milton solution, to prevent the spread of germs.
Wipe plastic bowls and cat litter trays with a Milton solution after washing-up.
Sterilise demijohns and bottles, tubes, funnels and taps after washing, by soaking them in a solution of Milton.
Sterilise kilner jars, rubber seals, etc. after washing, by soaking in a Milton solution.
If you are suspicious about the water - either when you are abroad or because of a supply problem - treat it with Milton to make it safe to drink. Use half a teaspoon (2.5 ml) of Milton Sterilising Fluid to 5 litres of water and leave to stand for 15 minutes before drinking.
Adding a few drops of Milton Sterilising Fluid to the water in the flower vase will help to preserve cut flowers for an extra week or two as it feeds the flowers.
