What is sterilisation?

Sterilisation is the only method of ensuring that all bacteria, virus, fungi and spores have been killed.

There are several ways of doing this, but not all are as effective and not all can be used for baby feeding utensils.

Milton Sterilising Fluid is effective against:

  • Rotavirus - an air borne virus passed on from person to person.
  • Campylobacter - the most common type of food poisoning. Often contracted from cats & dogs.
  • Salmonella - often due to undercooked foods.
  • Listeria - from poor handwashing.
  • E Coli - from raw meat and often passed on from not washing hands after the toilet.
  • Bacterial spores - bacteria in a dormant (non-active) state.
  • Candida - a fungus that causes thrush in babies.
